Advertisement for Submarine Bathing Cap: Orange piece of cardboard shaped like a head which probably was covered by a bathing cap. Slightl bent, wrinkled; appears to have some green melted rubber deposits on it.

White linen slip, top hemmed, with openwork stitch 1" wide straps which have been shortened. Series of paired 0.5" wide eyelets for a ribbon; embroidered flower and pendant swags, at waist is second set of the above; at bottom is embroidered flowered swags all the way around the hem. Hem is scalloped and worked in a buttonhole stitch machine sewn with French seams.

Dates: November 1945 Material: wool and cotton Maker: solomon Goldtein and Portney Used by: Milton Hollister f) Overcoat: Khaki heavy wool coating with cotton twill upper lining. Double breasted with 6 1.25" round khaki plastic buttons. Side welt pockets are vented to access jacket and pants pockets. Two epaulettes- no insignia. Back belt with three similar buttons. Rear hem vent closed with three buttons.

"Tabernacle Mirror" - ornate gilt frame resembling turned 2.25" half-rounds; 2.75" squares with raised rosettes at each corner, grape and leaf design on inner rim of frame. Looking glass is 17.5" high, 11.5" wide, picture above is 8.75" high, 11.5" wide; scene is mountain lake, man with fishnet beneath 2 trees; road winding by lake to fence and tower, blue flowers each side in centers of white border; painting is on reverse side of glass; bubble in glass at right edge of paining. Glass is very cloudy, broken in lower right corner; gilt is tarnished, chipped, and worn. Burn on lower left corner Used in John Buck's residence on old New London Turnpike

Bow back or hoop back Windsor chair, one middle stretcher. Original paint was mustard color; has been refinished. Seat is pine, nicely shaped; legs maple; stretchers are oak or ash. Bow and spindles are ash; most likely CT made, possible an Allen. Repairs to rear left leg, upper piece replaced (top 1.5"), balance original. Top 1.5" front right leg replaced, balance original, front left leg full replacement - old but differently shaped - the size and turnings are much finer. Back decorated using shaved scraping tool. Condition is good; seat worn, especially front corners.

Very plain pigskin covered shot flask with pewter band around neck of bottle; a wide circular flat cover - (2") from which a 1.5" high pewter tube extends, a lever is on one side of the circular cover to eject shots.
